Obituary of Arnold Westfall
Please share a memory of Arnold to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Arnold was born in Camrose, Alberta March 27, 1929 and passed away September 4, 2017 in the Camrose Hospital after a short battle with cancer. Arnold was the oldest of four children born to Hank and Julia Westfall. He settled in the Edberg/New Norway area where he married Marjorie Kerr in 1951. Arnold's passion was his farm of grain, dairy and pigs over the years. He loved working on his antique tractors, woodworking, ski-dooing, fishing, camping, and animals. He loved spending time with his family, stopping in at Edberg Senior centre, and visiting the coffee group at McDonalds. He had a quiet nature, but one of honesty and integrity. Arnold was always there to help out a friend or neighbor in time of need.
Left to cherish his memory are his three children Charlotte (Odean) Trautman, Rhonda Trautman, and Kevin (Robin) Westfall; eight grandchildren Maureen (Chris) MacBeath, Steven (Deanna) Tratuman, Becky (Kevin) Mills, Jennifer, Travis and Chanessa Borstmayer, Dane and Shaye Westfall; nine great-grandchildren; brother Melvin Westfall; and numerous brothers and sisters-in-law. He was predeceased by his wife Marjorie; sister Ruby Coen; and brother Ernest Westfall.
A Funeral Service was held at 1:00 p.m., on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 from Burgar Memorial Chapel with Rev. Brian Hunter. Interment has taken place at Lakeview Cemetery in Edberg.
If family and friends so desire, memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to the Lakeview Cemetery Fund or to the Edberg Drop-In Center.
