Our family and especially our daughters "Courtney & Camryn" will always remember Mr Batke's generosity to the young people of the Carol Adam's Dance Club when they visited/performed in Disneyland in 2007. He made a significant donation to the Children so they all had matching Track suits to wear on the grounds of Disneyland.(Our Girls still have both their coats as a keepsake from that trip) Sherley was truly a kind & generous gentleman- our condolences to you all who mourn.

Our heart is broken he was so special.did so much for others and wanted nothing in return except maybe to have a rum with him. So many great memories from the golf course I'm sure it would take days for all to tell. Good bye dear man thanks for being in our lives

Sherley was an incredible man and his spirit will live on in the community forever. He helped us get to Disneyland when our dance group was invited to dance there. Double Dam will always be a meeting place where everyone can stop and have coffee and we are so thankful for Sherley and his contributions. RIP to our amazing, neighbourly man.
