Laurine (Renie) Mingo passed away in St. Mary's Hospital, Camrose, Alberta on Sunday, September 24 at 80 years of age. She was born on May 25, 1937 in St. Mary's Hospital, Camrose, Alberta. She was the first child born to Laurie and Verna Byers. She married Ken Mingo on June 6, 1959 at Camrose United Church. Renie and Ken had two children, Bob in 1962 and Cathy in 1966. Renie was active in the community, belonging to many different organizations. She had countless friends and her home was always open for visitors to share some laughs and a good meal.
She was predeceased by her parents Verna and Laurie Byers; stepmother Gina; and sisters-in-law Jennie Mingo and Joyce Byers. She is survived by her husband Ken; son Bob (Karen) Mingo; daughter Cathy (Lawrence) Pacholek; grandchildren Ashley (Dale) Martin, Jeffrey Mingo (Melissa and daughter Mia Paluck), Cali Pacholek, Cale Pacholek; two great grandsons Chase and Ryder Martin; one brother Walter Byers; and nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
A Funeral Service was held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, September 28, 2017 from the Camrose United Church.
If family and friends so desire, memorial contributions are gratefully to St. Mary's Hospital, or to the charity of one's choice.
