Obituary of Lori Ozment
Please share a memory of Lori to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Lori Jayne Ozment of Camrose, Alberta passed away on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at the age of 61 years. Lori was born in Camrose, where she lived until 1962, when her family purchased a farm in the Hay Lakes district. She started grade one and attended high school there, then finished her formal schooling at Camrose Lutheran College. She immediately started work in Edmonton at the Alberta Research Council, then managed a drapery shop. Securing work in property management, she moved back to Camrose when something seemed to be blossoming with a young man named Ken Ozment. April 7, 1979 they were wed! Best day ever was July 4, 1989, when Sean Kenneth Ozment arrived! From that day on, Lori became a stay-at-home Mom, until Sean was grown. Returning to the work force, she managed the books for their business, Schnell & Barrie, until they sold. Some of her time had been filled with volunteer work including serving on the council at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Hay Lakes for several years. Gifted in design and decorating, she was also very organized and loved to be given a project, whether for herself, family or friends; she was solving someone's problems. After retirement she enjoyed travelling Canada and the world with Ken, Sean and family or friends. Returning from their last trip, Lori was diagnosed with cancer in March, at the same time struggling with a disabling case of sciatica. As the sciatica began to ease, the cancer took over. We will forever miss and remember our love, our partner, our confidante and friend. We will miss what she was to each of us and all that she had to offer us.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband Ken; son Sean; parents Lue and Gordon Lindseth; brother Jay Lindseth; brother-in-law Greg Ozment; sister-in-law Kathy Ozment; and many special and dear nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She is now reunited with her sister, Tracy Lindseth-Moe, who predeceased her in 1993.
A Funeral Service was held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 28, 2017 from CityLights Church with Rev. Brian Hunter officiating.
If family and friends so desire, memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to the Ken, Lori and Sean Ozment Fund at the Battle River Community Foundation.
