Doris was born on November 1, 1931 in Camrose to George and Anne Swaren. Doris passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at St. Mary's Hospital. Doris married Gordon Johnson and they had four children Brian, Linda, Wayne and Nancy. They lived in several different locations as Gordon worked for the oil company. Gordon died in 1961 so Doris and the children moved back to Camrose.Doris worked for Reeds' Country Gardens and Catering for twenty-five years. She married Bernie Rostaing in 1974 and they moved to the farm where they still resided. Doris is survived by her husband Bernie; her four children Linda (Arnold) Johnson of Ohaton, Brian Johnson of Calgary, Wayne Johnson of Whitecourt and Nancy Beasley of Camrose; brothers Gary (Pauline) Swaren of Cranbrook, B.C., and Bev (Betty) Swaren of Schuler, Ab.; sister Marlene (Keith) Westwood of Kelowna, B.C.; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.Doris was predeceased by her parents George and Anne Swaren; brothers Arnold and Stuart Swaren; grandson Scott Beasley; and daughter-in-law Colleen Johnson. A Funeral Service was held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 13, 2017 from Burgar Memorial Chapel with Rev. Bill Harder officiating. If friends and family so desire, memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to the S.T.A.R.S. Air Ambulance, the Stollery Children's Hospital or to St. Mary's Hospital - Palliative Care.
