Obituary of William "Bill" Hrudko
Please share a memory of William to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of William (Bill) Hrudko, at the age of 86 years.
Bill had the sharpest mind and loved to work with his hands, which were strong and mighty. He created and invented many wonderful things. He enjoyed all aspects of auctions, and made many friends and wonderful memories while he worked at the Daysland Auction Market. Bill had an avid interest in antiques and collectibles, and became extremely knowledgeable about them. He had a love for reading and learning. Bill's greatest personal passion was nature, especially fishing, which he enjoyed with many treasured friends, and especially with his beloved brother-in-law, Ken. He also enjoyed ice fishing. He is now reunited with all his fishing buddies. Bill's greatest treasures were his grandchildren, Graham and Annika. He had much pride in their accomplishments, and who they were becoming as people.
Bill is survived by his wife of 63 years, Evelyn; daughter Wendy (Gord) Hagstrom; grandchildren Graham and Annika; brother Leo; twin sisters Valerie and Gloria; brother-in-law Arnie Alm and wife Marie; numerous nieces and nephews; extra-special friends Dave and Ruby Hutchinson and their family; and many other friends. He was predeceased by his father Wilfred and mother Katherine; and sister Natalie.
To keep his memory alive, enjoy nature and all it has to offer.
The family expresses their deepest gratitude to Dr. W. Botha and Dr. L Chapman and all the nursing staff and other caregivers for the loving and attentive care given to Bill while in St. Mary's Hospital.
A Graveside Service was held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 25, 2017 from the Rosenroll Cemetery with Rev. Brian Hunter officiating.
If family and friends so desire, memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to the Canadian Diabetes Association or to the Camrose and District Fish and Game Association.
