Obituary of David Chomik

David Chomik was born in Killiam, Alberta on October 22, 1940. He spent his life on the family farm near Strome, Alberta. David passed away peacefully at Viking Health Centre on October 27, 2017 at the age of 77 years. He leaves to mourn his sister Elsie Bateyko of Calgary; brother-in-law Ron Mapletoft of Red Deer; nephew Darcy (Beth) Mapletoft of Red Deer; great-niece and nephew Jocelyn and Gavin; as well as numerous cousins. David is preceded in death by his parents, Alex and Jenny Chomik; as well as his sister, Kathleen Mapletoft. He will be loved and missed by all. Funeral Vigil was held on Friday November 3, 2017 at 1:30 pm from the Burgar Memorial Chapel(Camrose), with Father Mark Bayrock officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to the heart and stroke foundation of Canada. The family of David Chomik wishes to thank the staff at the Viking Health Center for their excellent care, as well his dear friends and neighbours, the Koehli family who have greatly assisted Dave through the last few years.
