Naomi Merle Erickson of Camrose, formerly of Denver Colorado, passed away on Monday, October 30, 2017 at the age of 61 years. Naomi Merle Erickson was born in Outlook, Saskatchewan on September 4, 1956 to Reverend Merle and LaVera Erickson. She spent the first five years in the Village of Donalda and had a love of the Donalda coulee throughout her life. Her public school years were spent in Camrose and she then graduated from Dana College in Nebraska. Continuing throughout her life to study and be educated, she earned a Master's degree in Special Education, a Paralegal Certificate and an Accounting Certificate. She loved her job managing a Tuesday Morning store in Denver, Colorado and was beloved by her employees. In November 2015, after some health problems, she sold her house in Denver and moved back to Camrose, Alberta. She was an avid skier, an outdoor enthusiast, and a lover of books and knowledge. Her three children were the pride and joy of her life. She is survived by her three children: Nicholas Harbert (Sarah Dunn) of Teton Valley, Idaho; Hannah Harbert of Leadville, Colorado, and William Harbert of Denver, Colorado; her siblings Anna(Harold) Dalton, Sarah (Robert) Young, Rebecca(Lyle) Heiberg, Jon(Debbie) Erickson, Mary (Peter) Hanson, and David Erickson; and many nieces, nephews, and grand-nieces and nephews. Naomi was predeceased by her parents, Merle and LaVera Erickson. A Funeral Service was held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 4, 2017 from the Burgar Memorial Chapel with Rev. Kevin Langager officiating. If family and friends so desire, memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to the Camrose and District Hospice Society.
