I enjoyed getting to know Doris at Messiah Lutheran Church. I valued her personality, her knowledge, her sense of humour, and her intelligence. I will miss seeing her.

Dear Mildred, Grace, Joyce and Ruby and Rose Aline, Was saddened to hear about your dear sister Doris' death! Sylvia (Engen) Espe is the one who let me know. I have been thinking these past days about the friendship that my Mom (Juverna Marken) and Doris shared. Mom passed away on October 1st, almost 20 years to the day after my Dad's death. She was 90 years old. I like to think about Mom and Dad being reunited with their good friend Doris in heaven! I remember when Arlene was expecting baby #1. Doris was the Dr and Dad teased her by saying that the only thing he was worried about was Arlene's Dr!! Praise God for the assurance of eternal life for the believer! John 3:16! "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of one of his saints". (Psalm 116:15) With my deepest sympathy From Dolores (Marken) Hagen

I was Doris's housekeeper for a number of years and really enjoyed her. I loved to hear about her adventures in Africa and her wonderful stories about the family she dearly cherished. I looked forward to spending time with her and she was very kind to me. I feel fortunate to have met her. May your family find comfort in the memory of her uniqueness. God bless
