Please share a memory of Clarence to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Clarence Henry Graumann passed away on Friday December 8, 2017 at the age of 83 years. Clarence Graumann was born in Hanna on July 23, 1934. He was the fifth child born to Albert and Emma and was raised on a farm in the handhills, south of Hanna. He attended SAIT in Calgary where he completed his mechanics license and then returned to Hanna to start his career. He soon met a new Home Economist, Blanche Ross that had just moved to town. Blanche and Clarence were married on November 7, 1958 and moved to Camrose shortly after their wedding. They welcomed their son, Joe on August 30, 1959. Shelley came along a couple years later on January 26, 1962. Clarence worked as a mechanic for several years at car dealerships in Camrose. In 1981, he entered into a business partnership and Alberta Marine Village was opened. Following the sale of the business in early '90's, he started a small engine repair business and was well known for his excellent skills in repairing lawn mowers. Clarence was a long time member of the Camrose Lions Club. He loved to curl and was an avid member of the Rose City Curling Club. Many weekends were spent camping at lakes in northern Alberta. Fishing was a favorite pass time. He also loved camping in the mountains. Clarence and Blanche have four granddaughters, Melissa, twins - Amber and Erin, and Jacqueline. These four gals were the light of his life. Great-granddaughter, Madison was born on November 1, 2015. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Blanche; children Joe (Kim) Graumann and Shelley Frost; four grandchildren Melissa (Taylor) Inglis, Amber (Jacob) Meliefste, Erin (Justin) Gelderman, and Jacqueline Frost; one great-grandchild Madison Inglis; brother Ernie Graumann; and sisters Laura (Archie) Williams and Shirley Stewart; and numerous nieces and nephews. Clarence was predeceased by his parents Albert and Emma Graumann; and three sisters Ruby Morrow, Edna Adolf and Bertha Melnyk. We know he is no longer suffering. We will all miss his humor and spirit. We love you dad. A funeral service was held on Thursday December 14, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. from the Camrose United Church. Memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to the Camrose United Church or to the Cross Cancer Society.
