Obituary of Violet Coultis

Please share a memory of Violet to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Violet (Vi) Marie Coultis of Camrose, formerly of Stettler, passed away on Tuesday, January 3rd at the age of 81 years. Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 64 years Allen Thomas (Tom); two daughters Brenda (Stewart) of Calgary and Marlene of Camrose; two granddaughters Janelle (Scott) Turner of Cochrane and Jacinda (Carissa) Taylor of Lethbridge; and two great- grandchildren Nashua and Oscar Turner. Vi and Allen were proud to call Camrose home since 1956 when Allen was the 1st City Police Officer. Once he retired he opened and operated Camrose News, Gift & Smoke Shop for fourteen years. Following Allen's stroke, they sold their business and Vi worked as a Chiropractor's Assistant for thirty-five years. Vi loved to bake, cook, play BINGO, go to garage sales, camp, gospel music, dance and in her earlier years play canasta. Vi was a very caring, compassionate, humorous, cheerful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend to many. Vi will be deeply missed and she will be in the hearts and memories of all the people she touched. A funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 9, 2018 from the Burgar Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jack Schulze officiating. Interment has taken place in the Camrose Cemetery. If family and friends so desire, memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to the Camrose and Area Animal Shelter Society (Bay 8, 4617-41 street Camrose, Alberta) or to the charity of one's choice.
