Obituary of Tanisha Peterson

Tanisha Skye Peterson of Camrose, Alberta passed away on Tuesday, January 9th, 2018 at the age of 22 years in Conklin, Alberta. Tanisha was born in Truro, Nova Scotia, to parents Sonya Lynn (Duncan) and Gerald Blaine Peterson. Tanisha was a beautiful, intelligent girl she had a passion for horses, she rode, competed, and cared for horses for many years of her short life. She was a spunky girl who was fearless, fun loving and lived life to the fullest. Tanisha strived to remain true to herself while working toward fulfilling her wishes and dreams. She was a very determined young woman, even as a baby she walked before she crawled. Tanisha had a very caring heart, she would take anyone under her wing and help any way she could. She loved to laugh listen to music and dance. She was the life of the party. Tanisha had the most beautiful blue eyes and a smile that would light up the room. Her siblings Riley and Emma Lynn have fond memories of riding dirt bikes, horses, snow mobiles and playing in the mud while being directed by their bossy big sister. Tanisha will be remembered for her love of cooking and the special meals she would prepare for the family when she was home. Frequently these meals contained her favorite…TACOS. We will miss the hearing her tell stories of her many great adventures. Her quick wit and sarcastic humor will not be forgotten. Left to cherish her memory are her parents Blaine and Sonya; siblings Riley and Emma-Lynn; grandmother Betty Cox; grandparents Gerald and Beverly Peterson; Great Nanny Nellie Cox; and numerous cousins, aunts and uncles. Tanisha was predeceased by her uncle Jamie Duncan; and many other cherished family members. A gathering of friends and family took place from 2:30 - 5:00 p.m., Sunday, January 14, 2018 from the Ramada Camrose (4702 73 St) with Rev. Mary Ann Pastuck officiating. If family and friends so desire, memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to the Canadian Mental Health Association.
