Obituary of Gloria Klein

Gloria Helen Klein of Camrose passed away on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at the age of 71 years. Gloria Klein was born March 20, 1946 to the proud parents of Gene and Helen Swaren.Gloria attended the Marvel Beauty School in Edmonton in which she became a hair dresser. While attending Beauty School she met Marvin at a friend's birthday party. Marvin and Gloria were married three years later in 1965 at Camrose. They became proud parents of their daughter Shauna two years later and their son Dean in 1970. In 1975, they bought their dream acreage and made it their forever home. Gloria was the bookkeeper at Marvin's shop until 1985 when he retired. Gloria spent all her free time working on the acreage, taking care of her family and all of her animals. Gloria loved doing puzzles, watching Marvin and her son play fastball, crocheting and family gatherings. She was the woman to beat at the lawn dart tournaments. Gloria enjoyed camping on the weekends with friends, family and at the ball tournaments that her husband was playing in. Gloria stayed at her home until 2017, then moved to Sunrise Village, and spent her last peaceful days at St. Mary's Hospital. She leaves to mourn her passing with her children Shauna (Juan Acosta), Dean (?); her brother Larry (Tanya); and her sister June (Daryll). Gloria was predeceased by her husband Marvin. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Shauna and Dean would like to thank and recognise Nettie Horman and Dale Gillespie for all of their support. Your kindness has meant a great deal to both of us. A Funeral Service was held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 20, 2018 from the Burgar Memorial Chapel with Rev. Bill Harder officiating.
