Obituary of Teresa "Trace" Ramstad

Teresa "Trace" Carol Ramstad of Camrose passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at the age of 86 years.
Teresa was born to Otto and Ruth Helmig on June 12, 1931 in Ankerton, Alberta. Her younger years were spent helping on the family farm along with five other siblings. She attended up to Grade 8 at Eastlynn School. As a young teen she worked for the May family, as a cook and a housekeeper. During a thrashing season she met Elmer Ramstad and soon after they were married December 15, 1950. To this union seven children were born. After many moves, Teresa and Elmer settled in Camrose. Teresa had a variety of jobs such as cooking and cleaning for many businesses all around Camrose. Her children were always bringing home friends; she was mom to many. She has a life-long friend in Ellen Thirsk. Some of Teresa's passions were knitting and reading, often donating her knitting and creations to charitable causes.
Teresa is survived by five of her children Wade (Deb) of Stettler, Bruce (Brenda) of Camrose, Bernice (Brent) Guhle of Daysland, Cheryl (Greg) Coleman of Innisfail, and Blake (Kathy) of Rosalind. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two sisters. She was predeceased by her husband Elmer; two sons Ward and Blaine; one granddaughter Breann; and three siblings. She will be sadly missed by all.
A Funeral Service was held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 2, 2018 from Messiah Lutheran Church with Rev. Calvin Skriver officiating. Inurnment has taken place in the Greenview Cemetery, Rosalind.
