Jackie So sad to hear about our mentor. Big D taught us all about work ethic, common sense, and above all, how to have fun, while looking after each other. I owe him a lot. I look back and all I can do is smile. I am so happy to have seen him in August at a golf tournament in Victoria. The stories were once again priceless, and reminded me how much I missed him and those great old days. I am sure he is sharing a brown pop with Arnie. I know you are comforted in the fact that both of you are loved by many, and we will remember both of you in our prayers. dave

I remember very well meeting Darrell in 1971 at the North Road McDonald's in Vancouver at an Asst. Managers Meeting. The other memories I have of Darrell though all revolve around the fun and hilarity he created over the many years I knew and worked with him. He was defintely one of a kind and brought a lot of fun to many of us at Micky D's. He will be missed! Bob Hissink

Jackie what can you say at a time like this but Darrell was truly one of a kind. A wonerful man with a big heart. Always smiling and always having a good time. I owe Darrell a lot. I was a teenager when I met Darrell under the Golden Arches. I know he looked after me and he re-hired me after I left in 1981. I will be forever greatful and will continue to light a candle at church for Darrell. My condolences to you and your family. Joe Guzzo
