Please share a memory of Gladys to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Gladys passed away peacefully on February 26, 2018 surrounded by her loving family after a very brief battle with cancer. Gladys was born to Stella and Ole Fodness on November 17, 1942 in Viking, Alberta. She grew up in Bruce, Alberta along side her three brothers and two sisters. Once she met her late husband Vernon Brady they moved to Rocky Mountain House, Alberta where they raised their daughter Debbie. Vernon and Gladys took up a passion for farming when they purchased their farm in the late 70's. Gladys also worked at Canada Post for over 23 years as a full time and part time employee and was provided with an honorary ceremony upon her retirement in 2003. Once Gladys retired she spent much of her time with her daughter Debbie, son-in-law Kelly, her grandchildren and great grandson. In 2010 Gladys met Edward Tatarin and moved to Camrose, Alberta where she happily lived out the remainder of her life. Gladys could always be found working or busy doing one thing or another. She was very devoted to her career at Canada Post and very rarely missed a day of work. Gladys greatly enjoyed working on the farm whether it be raking or baling hay, feeding or calving cows or listening to the grain report everyday for prices. She also derived great pleasure in gardening and canning. You could always find the most beautiful flowers in her garden and around her yard. Gladys had a passion for animals of all kinds but a special place in her heart was reserved for her horses Appie, Tanner and Buddy and her beloved dog Lady. Gladys had an amazing personality and the ability to make friends wherever she went. Gladys will forever be remembered by her loving husband Edward Tatarin; caring sons-in-law Kelly Inglis and Brad Martin; treasured grandchildren Justine Inglis (Brady Brown) and Layne Inglis; cherished great-grandson Wacey Inglis; regarded siblings Jim (Rose) Fodness, Dale (Maxine) Fodness, Audrey (Kenny) Johnson, Shirley (Greg) McGrath; adored nieces Marcy (Chris) Fodness, Kelsey (Cam) Allary, Brenda Fodness, Christine Fodness, LaRae Butler, Cheryl (Frank) Kulhavy; regarded nephews Jason (Marcy) Fodness, Cory (Tamara) McGrath, David (Jolene) Fodness, Jerry (Stephanie) Fodness, Bryan Fodness and several great nieces, nephews and extended family along with countless friends whom were blessed to know her. She was predeceased by her first husband Vernon Brady, daughter Debbie Inglis, mother Stella Fodness, father Ole Fodness, brother Marvin Fodness and sister-in-law Jane Fodness.
