Obituary of Robert "Bob" Wack

Robert "Bob" Joseph Wack of Edberg, Alberta passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at the age of 33 years. Robert Joseph Wack was born August 31, 1984 in Stony Plain, AB. In his early years, Bob lived in Edmonton, St. Albert and then Spruce Grove as he participated in speech and occupational therapies as well as attending Early Education programs starting at age 3. February 1991 saw Bob welcoming his "brudder" Colin into our lives and a loving, protective bond was born between the brothers that lasted a lifetime. In 1992, we moved to Nanaimo, BC so that Bob could be part of a pilot project with the education system there. He spent three enjoyable years on the island before returning to Alberta and settling in "the new blue house in small town Edberg, near Camrose". Bob attended Edberg School where he was surrounded by friends and then finished his schooling at Camrose Composite High School where he graduated in 2002. From there, Bob went on to Centra Cam where he continued to enjoy new friendships while participating in activities he loved such as swimming every week and the annual Bowl-A-Thon. Bob was diagnosed with end stage liver disease in the fall of 2016 and fought a brave battle with amazing strength and courage until he could fight no more. Bob touched many lives in his 33 years and he left an imprint with each one of them. He began his final journey March 8, 2018. Godspeed, Bob, Godspeed. A Funeral Service was held at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, April 7, 2018 from the CityLights Church with Rev. Julianna Wehrfritz-Hanson and Rev. Norm Lentz officiating. Inurnment has taken place in the Edberg Cemetery. If family and friends so desire, memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to the Edberg Fire Department, or to The Canadian Transplant Society.
