Obituary of Elizabeth "Betty" Leroux

Please share a memory of Elizabeth to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Betty was born in Daysland, Alberta on October 24, 1956 to Andy and Esther Wolbeck. She grew up in Heisler and she was the youngest of six children, Mary Ann (Elldon) Niehaus, Shirley (Ronnie) Heisler, Calvin (Maryanne) Wolbeck, Derald (Mariann) Wolbeck and Dennis (Dixie) Wolbeck. Betty was living in Heisler and working at the hotel where she met her husband Vic. They later moved to Camrose in 1998. Vic passed away in 2013. She enjoyed spending her days surrounded by family. Her favorite things were family functions, going on camping trips, playing cards, and Bingo. Betty loved to bake and she never wanted to show up to someone's house empty-handed. Her buns, cinnamon rolls, pies, and doughnuts will be remembered by all. Betty's presence was always known as she would bring a smile and laughter to the room. Her days were filled with all her morning coffee visits, and spending time with her grandchildren, attending all their sporting events. Left to cherish her memory are her three children and grandchildren, Jody (Clayton) Frey of Beaumont, grandchildren Easton and Emerson; Renee (Andre) Blanchette of Camrose, grandchildren Carson, Reid, and Bailey; and Brooke Leroux of Camrose. Betty passed away peacefully at the Daysland Hospital on March 26, 2018. She was a wonderful woman who will be missed by everyone who knew her. A Funeral Service was held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, April 2, 2018 from the Camrose Resort Casino. If family and friends so desire, memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to the Daysland Hospital, or to the Cross Cancer Institute.
