I extend sincere sympathy to Don's family and I am sorry that I was unable to attend Don's funeral service. I came to know Don this past year through his activities at the fitness center and through golf. Although I knew him for a short time, he became a friend and someone I admired. He will be missed.

One of my own personal visions is to inspire others - and Don did that for me. Don has had quite the life - as we shared our stories in the locker room - a typical "guy thing" - with all his ups and downs, it is my opinion that he certainly finished on a high. He was an example to us all, committed, encouraging, cheerful, supportive and a friend. My condolences to family and friends - his passing is way too soon - and I sincerely hope and pray he is in a far, far better place.

Don was one of my best friends. I will always remember him as a warm, kind person, who never gave up. The first time I swam 100 laps at once, Don swam and walked right next to me and encouraged me the entire way. He will live on in the hearts of many. Love forever.

It is with saddness that I mourn the passing of Don in the welding community, and extend my condolences to his family and friends during this time of sorrow. My comming to meet the man, "The legendary Donny Mohler" as he was known in the circle of talent pooled in our lunchroom during coffee breaks, was as a new instructor in the NAIT Welding program. While I cannot attest for any antics before I joined the group, I can say he kept the show lively, down to earth, and as a new instructor, was a model for me to emulate.
