Dear Henrik, Kathy, Morten, Krystal, Susanne, Gerry, Thomas, Karen & all the children, We were deeply saddened to hear of your mothers'passing. It's been several years since I visited her in Camrose & we lost touch over the years other than news from your father & Janeen. I did write her this past Christmas as I always think fondly of our friendship when I unpack the 2 pixies at Christmas & display them on the mantle. We had a warm friendship while she lived in Dawson Creek & did lots of fun things together. She was a marvelous cook & entertainer. We felt privileged to be included in your family's activities. Karen was devoted to our church & ELW & we were sad when she moved away even though it was best she was close to her grandchildren. She will be sadly missed. I'm sorry it has taken me so long to respond. Our prayers go out to all of you. Sincerely, Sharon

So very sorry to hear of your loss. I have many happy memories of all of you from our time in Whitehorse, when Karen and Johs would welcome us into their home. We had some wonderful evenings together with the Porsilds and other Danes singing Danish songs and nattering away in a mixture of our two languages. I didn't hear from Karen often, but when I did, her letters were always full of the pleasure you children and her grandchildren gave her. Love to you all, Kirsten
