Louisa, All of us were very sad to hear that Rudolph had passed. The memories we have of you both as our neighbors are ones that we certainly cherish and remember well when we are alone on the acreage with no one to visit over the fence with. It sure isn't the same when the snow flies and we can't race Rudolph out to the sidewalk to see who can shovel each other's walk first. I didn't think I loved to shovel snow until he showed me what fun it was to beat him to it. I will miss him. The kindness you shared with us as your friends and neighbors made us feel as though we fit; both as a family and as part of a community. Alexis would have liked to have come to the funeral but unfortunately exams and the concentration it takes to complete them made her decide to send you a homemade card instead. I am sure you will come across it. I sent the climbing Scarlet Honeysuckle as I remember how nice your Clematis looked on the west side of your house; perhaps you will be able to find a home for it. Thanks to everyone for their messages of condolence. Who is left to tell us that the wild oats are bad in a certain field just by driving by at 50 mph? Who can smell a storm coming? Who knows our family and community history?
