To Phyllis’ Loved Ones My sincere condolences; I was truly shocked and saddened by the news. I was privilege to know Phyllis professionally, and through this relationship I got to know about her family, obviously a great source of pride and joy for her. Emerson wrote - ... to leave the world a bit better, ...to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived – this is to have succeeded! Phyllis’ life was a great success, and will continue to be so – because death does not end a life, only an earthly existence! Her gifts live on in all who were fortunate enough to be blessed by her love and her work.

To Ken, Kim, Tara, Guy, Nathan, and Sophia... In times of sadness we can take comfort in special poems and special music. The poem below reminds us of our evenings and discussions of travel adventures with Ken and Phyllis. Also, the slide show with Phyllis's constant smile said it all! Love from Lynn and Heather The Book Go to that place we loved, our secret place. Close your eyes and you’ll see my face Play that tune, the tune we loved to hear. Close your eyes and you’ll see me clear. Walk on the beach or climb to the top of the hill. Close your eyes and you’ll see me still. Take a sip of wine, of dark red wine. Close your eyes and you’ll see me fine. At night go out and look of the brightest star. Close your eyes and you’ll see me far. On a day when the sky is blue and cold and clear, Close your eyes and you’ll see me near. Take down a book that would have been my choice. Open the book. Close your eyes. You’ll hear my voice. Paul Meadows (1969 - )

We were shocked and saddened to read of Phyllis' passing. In the short time we have known the two of you, we have had good conversations. Just at the end of May, I was fortunate enough to share group work with Phyllis as we contemplated changes to ABHS Heath Act. At that time, her knowledge and wisdom impressed me again. I am sad to have her leave us- her memory will live on.
