Obituary of Robert "Bob" Sroka
Robert (Bob) Sroka, beloved husband, dad, and grandpa, was born on Aug. 20, 1952, to Charles and Kathleen Sroka. He passed away on April 22, 2018, at the age of 65.
Bob attended elementary school in Bruce and graduated from Holden high school. In 1975 he married Angy Danylak, where they continued farming on his family’s farm until moving to Camrose in 1977. They were blessed with two children, Adam and Sheri. While in Camrose Bob worked for National Home Furniture, and Canadian Nurs-ette.
In 1987 they moved to a farm by Armena. Bob then went to work for Mar Investments, hauling water for rigs. To spend more time with his family, Bob decided to work on the farm raising hogs, cattle, and chihuahuas. He continued this for many years and later became a weed inspector for the County of Camrose, where he got to drive around and meet a lot of new faces.
Bob loved nothing more than his family and friends. He enjoyed cooking, playing cards, and his sense of humor always put a smile on your face.
He leaves to cherish his memory; his mother Kathleen, loving wife Angy, son Adam (Desiree), daughter Sheri (Travis) Fitzgerald, and four grandchildren (Keston, Katie, Christian, and Annabelle). Bob is predeceased by his father Charles and an infant brother.
Bob’s memory will be cherished in the hearts of his family and friends.
A Funeral Mass was celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 27, 2018, from St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church with Rev. Joseph Jacobson officiating. Inurnment has taken place at the Camrose Valleyview Cemetery.
