Perry Joseph Lestus
(July 5, 1959 - May 29, 2018)
Perry Joseph Lestus of Camrose, Alberta, formerly of Edmonton, passed away on Tuesday, May 29, 2018, at the age of 58 years. Perry was born in Camrose to Barbara and Michael on July 5, 1959. He was raised on a farm with his four brothers Gerald, Wayne, Hubert, and Roger. He moved to Edmonton where he worked service rigs, at Don Wheaton's body shop as well as Shaw Cable. He was back in Camrose where he met Shelley through mutual friends and they married on July 6, 1985. Shortly after, they had their first child Charissa on December 17, 1986, then Dallas March 6, 1990. They bought their first home in Edmonton where Perry started his company 3rd Rock Landscaping and Snow Removal. The family moved and bought their home in Camrose in 1999. He worked at Meridian for seven years as a forklift operator where he worked with his son Dallas and numerous friends. Perry’s family had extended even more with his two grandchildren Zaylee August 10, 2015, and Tychus July 27, 2017.
Perry lived for his family. A great husband and father; tough but fair and incredibly big-hearted. Perry had such a passion for music. He was always learning new songs and singing his heart out, constantly having people jam with him and collecting guitars. He enjoyed landscaping, biking, cars, and flying his drone.
Left to love him always are his wife Shelley; children Charissa (Jonathan) and Dallas (Vana); grandchildren Zaylee and Tychus; mother Barbara (Ed); brothers Gerald (Lauren), Wayne (Susan), Hubert (Lori), Roger (Karen); and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service was held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, June 4, 2018, from the Burgar Memorial Chapel with Rev. Brian Hunter officiating.
If family and friends desire, memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to STARS, Battle River Animal Protection Society (BRAPS), or to the Camrose and Area Animal Shelter Society.
