Obituary of Darryl Blaine Sautner
Darryl Blaine Sautner of Forestburg, formerly Airdrie, Alberta passed away on Monday, June 4, 2018, at the age of 60 years.
Darryl was born in Medicine Hat, Alberta to Doreen and Herb Sautner. His dad built the house they lived in until his parents separated. Darryl liked living part time with his Grandmother. When he was seven years old he moved to Calgary to stay with his mom and step-father Doreen and Garnet Georlitz.
Darryl’s first job was working for Garnet; it was there that he realized there was money to be made from freedom, so he never returned to school. Taking on many jobs from laying sidewalk blocks, painting window sills and working for plumbers, he was hired on with the Canadian Pacific Railway in the 1970’s came back to stay his career and retire as his forefathers and family.
He enjoyed being outdoors fishing and camping with his family anywhere but here. Darryl also had a passion for bikes. He taught us all a thing or two.
Darryl leaves behind his mother Doreen Georlitz; step-father Garnet Georlitz; wife Sandra Sautner; son Jesse Sautner; daughter Melissa Cahill; half-sister Sheri Kenna; and three grandsons Chase, Zachory and Jaxson Sautner.
A Funeral Service was held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 7, 2018, from the Burgar Memorial Chapel with Rev. Mary Ann Pastuck officiating. Inurnment has taken place in the Camrose Cemetery.
