Sorry to hear we've lost Mr. Steeves. I remember him trying to teach us wave dynamics using slinkies. I'm not sure how much physics we learned, but a bunch of rowdy teenagers had a lot of fun that day! He was a great teacher and he will be missed. Wishing peace to his family.

Richard will be missed but not forgotten. His smile, his optimism, the hundreds of students he gifted with his knowledge, his gardening and carpentry skills, his pride in his children, Melanie and Myles, joy in his grandchildren, Avyenda and Layla, and his unwavering love for Ruth, will be a part of us forever. His strength in his faith is now especially important for the rest of us, as we remember. We are thankful to have known you.

Dearest Ruth, Melanie and Myles, I am very saddened to hear of Richard's passing and my heart and prayers truly go out to all of you. Richard was a wonderful man, through and through, and left a profound and positive mark on everyone he met. David remembers Mr. Steeves as one of his very best school teachers many years ago when he attended Rosalind School. He remembers him as teaching grade 8 or 9 as his Science teacher. This would have been about 1967 or 1968. He doesn't remember how many years he taught at Rosalind, but he does remember him as being an excellent and favorite teacher. We send our heartfelt sympathy as you bid farewell....
