Duff, Bryan and fam and Lori We are so sorry to hear about Barb! Les and I just mentioned that we should try to get in touch here in Ca but now thoughts and prayers will have to do. Barb is remembered as a very strong and fun loving person and what an awesome dancer she was. I was not lucky enough to meet Mrs. Layton, but I am friends with Lori and Mrs. Layton raised a great daughter. I'm know she was a wonderful lady and will be missed greatly by her family.

It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to our precious friend, Barb. We are an ocean away and can't be there to hug and hold you dear Duff, Lori, Bryan, Marielle, Gabi, Owen, Annika. We share your pain and wish you strength at this impossibly difficult time. We know you will be surrounded by friends and family who will help you through. So you know, we scattered rose petals from a ship on the pacific ocean where whales were frolicking in the bay. We know Barb was watching them with us. We scattered more rose petals on the beach we walked together many years ago on one of our special holidays together in Maui. Barbie will live forever in our hearts. We will always remember her joyous smile, her infectious giggle and our precious time together. We will have a service here in Maui for Barb while you are all saying your goodbyes in Camrose. One memory I would like to share was when I was very little I remember playing with you and Barb on your hammock - I thought it was the coolest thing because my parents didn't have one!
