Obituary of Minnie Slowsky

Arlene Slowsky of Bashaw, AB formerly of Sherwood Park, AB passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends. Arlene is survived by her husband Matthew Slowsky of Bashaw, AB; daughters Lana (Pat) Gilmore of Bashaw, AB, Wendy Gale of Camrose, AB ; son Wade Slowsky of Edmonton; special friend-daughter Marcia Nygaard of Faust, AB along with six grandchildren Micheal Slowsky, Nicole Slowsky, David Slowsky, Brian Slowsky, Jennifer Crebas and Christopher Gale; four great-grandchildren Sydney Wilson, MacKenzie Slowsky, Madeline Crebas, Dax Crebas; one step-grandson Hugh Gilmore; two step great-grandsons Patrick John Gilmore and William Gilmore. Arlene is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, whom each one was very special to Aunty, along with many friends. Arlene was predeceased by her parents Ruth and Earnest Vittetoe; brother Alfred Vittetoe; sister Vera Gauthier; son Grant Slowsky; great niece Cassandra Gillis. A funeral service was held Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. from the Bashaw Community Centre in Bashaw, AB. Inurnment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Canadian Lung Association of the Canadian Diabetes Association.
