My sister was so much, to so many people. I was always proud and bragging about her. I will NEVER be the same without her. She is such a beautiful person that life here on earth without her seems so unfair. I will cherish memories of her always and never forget her laugh. I remember Val as a warm person. She always had a ear for you when you needed it. She had a laugh that seemed to make you want to laugh or smile, and she seemed to do a lot of laughing. We grew apart in the years since college and I regret that. I am grateful now that we had a Hoyme reunion last summer. I will treasure that memory. This is such a terrible shock it's hard to know what to say. Although I haven't been in touch with her much since I moved from Camrose, Val was a very good friend to me for many years.
