Leon, I am so sorry to learn of Joyce's passing. You two were such a perfect team. Joyce and I had lots of lively discussions as part of the Refugee Committee 'extention'. Her generosity amazed me. She was passionate about things and her opinions were spot on. I loved her sense of humour and her funny stories. She must have been a super teacher. I appreciated (though often not at the time!) her frank wisdom and practical nature. I'll miss her smartening me up when I need it. Please accept my sincere condolences, Leon.

Leon, My heartfelt sympathy on the loss of your wife goes out to you and your family at this tough time. I know you had a great marriage and loved her so much. The first time my mom (Jasminka) and I met Joyce and you I don't really remember as I was 8 years old at the time. All I remember was that we were welcomed by you guys with arms wide open and became part of your family.
