Hanson, Russell Wilfred
March 18, 1925 - February 28, 2008
On Thursday, February 28, 2008, Russell Hanson of Edmonton, our beloved father, grandfather, brother and friend, passed away peacefully at home at the age of 82.
Russell will be missed by his loving children, Karen Gloge (Robert), Marlene, and Jeff, as well as by his grandchildren Justin, Scott, Stephanie, Jessica, Colby and Cara. Also left to mourn his loss are siblings Laurie (Des), Art (Janet), Trudy (Erwin), Hazel, and Beulah (Norman). Russ will also be remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Russell served in the Royal Canadian Corps of Signals, in WWII, and was a devoted servant of Christ for a lifetime.
Russ is now reunited with wife, Martha, and sister, Irene Bjorgum.
A memorial service to celebrate Russell's life was held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 8, 2008 at Laurier Heights Baptist Church 8505-142 Street, in Edmonton. Interment took place in The Kingman Cemetery.
