Sylvia Diana Heather (Nelson) passed away on Sunday, May 18, 2008, at the age of 65 years. She was born in Bashaw, Alberta on July 11, 1942.

 

Sylvia was predeceased by her parents, Emma and Stanley Heather of Camrose; three sisters: Mary Harvey of Calgary, Gloria Jaycock of Edmonton, and one brother, Stuart (Joyce) of Parksville, B.C.; and three brothers-in-law: Jack Harvey, John Minkenski of Vernon, B.C., and Ernest Heather of Calgary.

 

Sylvia is survived by her close friend and special partner of the past 37 years, Tom Niven, and her son Darren Nelson of Camrose; five chosen Niven girls and their families; three sisters: Lillian Heather of Calgary, Kathleen Marie (Doug) Russell of Victoria, B.C., and brother-in-law Bill Jaycock of Edmonton; 16 nieces and nephews and their spouses, and numerous grand-nieces and nephews.

 

At Sylvia's request no funeral will be held. A graveside service will be held at a later date.
