I am Erna’s niece and grew up just down the road from Erna and Edwin. After Diane was born, I would walk up the road and babysit while Erna and Edwin would milk the cows and do the evening chores. Sometimes I’d stay for supper and if it wasn’t dark, I’d walk back home again. We could see each other’s homes and Erna would wave a white dish towel when I started out so that my parents would know that I was on the way home. This was long before we got a telephone. We always spent Christmas together with our grandparents. There are so many memories. Erna was a nice lady. Many condolences Diane and family.

Erna lived across the street from me at Sanden Court in Bawlf. Used to visit her often there and always had a good chat. She loved her tomato plants and flowers in the summer and she would always let me steal a tasty tomato or two. She loved it when I would bring one of my dogs over to visit. Wonderful lady. Sorry to hear of her death. I know she will be missed.

We were saddened to read your Mom's obituary. Your Mom was always so proud of you all. Always smiling and happy. She was a very kind woman. Memories come to mind of our days, trail rides, parades, gymkhanas and all the food and fun with the Daysland and District Light Horse Association (DDLHA) and then the Double Diamond Riding Club. What fun years they were! Mosands, Gundersons, Storvicks, Peacocks, Uglems and many other families.... May she rest in Peace knowing you hold cherished memories of her for always. Hugs to you!!
