Obituary of Clyde Thomas Cribb
Clyde Thomas Cribb
(February 10, 1930 - November 17, 2018)
Clyde Thomas Cribb passed away, after a long battle with cancer, at Heritage House in Stettler on November 17, 2018, at the age of 88 years.
Left to mourn are his three children Ron (Rose) Cribb of Nova Scotia, Michelle (Randy) Bibby of Camrose, Wanda (Clarence) Brokopp of Bashaw, and Beverly Cribb (Garry) of Camrose; nine grandchildren Rochelle (Micheal) Elliott of Camrose, Crystal (Daniel) Nahajowich of Camrose, Cassandra Mcfyden of Camrose, Chantelle (Allan) Van Os of Camrose, Daniel Cribb of Camrose, Danielle (Jason) Charette of Vegreville, Conner Cribb (Ashley) of Nova Scotia, Hannah Cribb (Greg) of Nova Scotia, and Trever Cribb-Layton Jr. of Camrose; eighteen great-grandchildren; five brothers; and five sisters.
Clyde was predeceased by his parents William and Lilly Ann Cribb of Newfoundland; his wife of 59 years, Lillian; and his eldest son Garry, at the age of 51 years.
He was born in Newfoundland and was very proud of it. He was known to be a jack of all traded and would do anything for anyone. Clyde went to work at the age of nine in order to take care of his parents and siblings due to his father’s illness. He would go hunting for not just his family but for anyone who was in need. Clyde even cooked, knitted, and cleaned.
He loved playing darts and having a drink after a long days work, but most of all he loved his family. Clyde loved his wife with everything he had. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren were his life. He was a strict man, but when it came to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, he was a marshmallow.
A Funeral Service was held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, November 22, 2018 from the Burgar Memorial Chapel, 4817 - 51 Avenue Camrose with Father Jacques Vaillancourt officiating.
If family and friends so desire, memorial contributions in Clyde's memory may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation as well as Canadian Cancer Society.
