Mary Rudyk
(January 8, 1929 - December 24, 2018)
Mary Rudyk was born on January 8, 1929 in Royal Park, Alberta. On December 24, 2018 Mary lost her battle with dementia.
Mary was predeceased by her parents, Helen and Constantine Kassian; her eldest sister, Alice Laschowski; her brother-in-law, Victor Orlecky; and her granddaughter, Ciara Diduck.
She is survived by her daughters, Lynda (Terry) Diduck and Bonny (Bob) Thompson; her sister, Anne Orlecky; her brother, Walter (Sophie) Kassian; her granddaughter, Bobbi-Jo Thompson; her great-granddaughter, Jessica Brandow; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins and their families.
Mary began her career as a teacher at east Bruce school. Later she became the bookkeeper and secretary for the family business. Before she retired, she was the bookkeeper for Blue Flame Propane.
Upon her retirement, she served on the Thrift Shop Board, was a member of the Horticulture Club, and participated in the Rosehaven Snack Program.
A Funeral Service was held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, December 29, 2018 from the Burgar Memorial Chapel with Rev. Brian Hunter officiating. Interment has taken place in the Camrose Cemetery.
