I send my deepest sympathy to the family of Florence, a lady whose acquaintance I met when i arrived in Camrose thirty years ago and whose smile and friendly greeting was always a joy to encounter.I am disappointed that I only discovered her passing in the paper today so I could not attend her celebration of life. May she rest in peace.

I have fond memories of working with Florence at KFC, she was a very kind and generous soul. When I saw her years after that, Florence would always ask about my family and take an interest in what I was up to. Such a lovely woman. It is with great sadness that we have to say an early goodbye to this wonderful, talented, caring, dedicated lady called Florence. She always had a smile and was willing to help. We were blessed to have her as an employee for almost 30 years, and she was like family as well as a wonderful friend. When she moved to Camrose after losing her first husband Mathew, she had 4 children and her mother Stella to care for. She did it with poise, love, caring and compassion, She raised her children so that she would always be proud of them and what they have accomplished. She excelled in cooking, baking, crafts, & painting. Then she met the love of her life in a gentle man named Grant McMahon. She became a talented painter and he was by her side always willing to help with framing and showing. He was so proud of her accomplishments. Grant you have been a loving husband to Florence & her family and a devoted and wonderful caregiver to her over the past few years. You are to be commended on all your efforts. We know that all of your hearts are breaking at this sudden loss, but she has left a legacy for all of you to remember and cherish every day.
