My dear friends, I want to send my sincere condolences and apologize for not being there to give you all hugs. Lorne was my dads best man at their wedding. And dad shared a room (bed?) with Lorne when dad first moved to Bowness. My friendship with Lorne and Ruth came much later. I didn't really know them until the Bowness golf reunions started. Lorne was such an easy going, gentleman - with a gentle sense of humour and it was always apparent that he adored Ruth. I always said they were one of the very few couples I could vacation with. They were always up for anything and everything. Many fond memories of golf games, and of course the reunions all over BC and Alberta. I always felt so grateful to be included with all the older generation and always thought of Lorne and Ruth as my very very dear friends - more like family really. I am also grateful to call Patty and Dirk friends. Thanks for all your help and kindness when Stan passed away (on Lornes birthday). As Zeke said when I called him in Mesa "So Sorry to hear. He had a real good run". Yes, our Lorne did have a real good run. Rest in Peace
