Linda Ann Sargeant

(May 5, 1947 - May 17, 2019)

LINDA ANN SARGEANT (nee LITTLE) passed away May 17, 2019 at the Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute in Edmonton, Alberta at the age of 72 years. 
Linda was born on May 5, 1947 to Howard and Louise Little of Daysland, Alberta. She went to elementary school in Strome and graduated from Daysland High School. 

Linda went to business school in Edmonton, AB before moving to Calgary.  She was married to Lyle Sargeant on April 15, 1967 and to this union two daughters were born, Anetta Irene and Orlene Louise.  They raised their daughters on a farm near Lindale, Alberta.  Linda was a beloved mother, grandmother, aunty and sister.  For 35 years she worked as an Administrative Secretary at Breton Elementary School. Linda spent the last ten months living with her daughters. 

Linda grew up going to fellowship meetings in the home and made her own personal choice to serve God in 1959 at the age of twelve. She loved her family and had a keen interest in each one of them, especially her grandchildren, always interested in what they were up to asking about them daily. 

Linda will be sadly missed by her children Anetta (Shorty) Paul of Lloydminster, AB and Orlene (Michael) Hahn of Ephrata, WA; her grandchildren Chad (Cami), Kelsie (Eric), Clay (Alli), Lorena, Nicole, Parker and Olympia, sister Bonnie Halbert and families and brother Richard (Maxine) Little and families. She was predeceased by two sisters Nora and Noreen and her parents Howard and Louise Little.

A Funeral Service was held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday May 25, 2019 from the Daysland Community Hall with Peter Hawkins officiating. Interment has taken place in the Daysland Cemetery. 

If family and friends so desire, memorial contributions in Linda's memory may be made in lieu of flowers to the Diabetes Foundation, the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or to the Daysland Community Hall.
