So I first met Donna when she was living in the same apartment building as I was. My roommate left and Donna, Marg, Joni and I moved into a condo. What a wonderful time it was! We all worked at Foothills and had lots of social activities. What I especially remember about Donna was her intelligence and her wit. Professionally Donna began as a general duty nurse on surgery. Her talent was recognized and she became head nurse of a busy surgical unit. She did a great job.
Donna's ties with Calgary were obvious when I hosted a baby shower for her and everyone that I corresponded with accepted. Donna loved being a Mom and was so proud of Ashley and Ryan. Those four little grandchildren arriving so close together brought a smile to her face when she spoke of them. I got to know her parents and her sister. In fact, we invited all our parents one Christmas. Although our paths went different ways after our marriages, we could pick up where we left off, that means we were true soulmates. Mourn as you will. I know Donna's wit and wisdom will help guide you in your lives.

My heartfelt sympathy to all of Donna’s family. I trained with Donna at Regina General. She was an excellent nurse and a wonderful friend. We were a close class and spent many hours sitting on beds, laughing, crying and supporting each other. She will be greatly missed.

Donna was a nursing classmate and so full of fun. I remember her at our class reunions with her wonderful sense of humour, and always a smile on her face. We will miss her. Take care of yourselves and each other during this difficult time
