Velma and I just heard that George had passed away. The 5 years that our family lived in Daysland were enriched by our friendship with George and his family. George was a wonderful man to curl with and against. He and Edna made a wonderful couple. The two of them exhibited the values of rural people from the Canadian Prairies. RIP George. We were proud to call you our friend.

George was a good & gracious man. I had the great pleasure to play 55+ slow pitch with him for a number of years. I curled against him also at different times. He was a talented sportsman. He loved when his brother Ed would bring out his guitar and I would bring out my song books. We spent many evenings, after ball games singing for hours. When I worked for Hi-Way 13 Transport, he often would drop by my office for coffee and we would catch up on our "doings". He will be greatly missed by family & friends

Sorry to hear of George's passing. Our sympathy to the entire Heck Family. We have fond memories & still remember George sweeping the curling rock with his corn broom. It was fun to watch. Hans & Ina Wendt ,Kelowna BC , formerly of Daysland.

Have fond memories of working With
George at the Town of Daysland. He was a person I knew would look after the trees and flowers when I would go fro a couple of weeks holidays.
