Our heartfelt sympathies. Bernie was a Family friend as I grew up. We were harvesting very late one Fall night when the Northern Lights lit up the whole sky. We shut everything down and just laid on the ground maybe 20 minutes marvelling the wonderous moving beauty across the skies. Bernie always seemed so happy. Rest in Peace and May God Bless you.

Bernie was such a friendly man, anywhere he saw me in a crowd he had to come and say hello! Many years ago his vehicle broke down on the gravel road behind the old "Hepps" garage. I happened to come along & gave him a ride home. He was so thankful & never forgot that! Sympathy to all his family & friends. Some people come into our lives & bring good memories!

It was a privilege to have known Bernie and shared many good times over the years. He was a mainstay in our church in Bawlf. He spent many hours reading and could remember everything it seemed. He was always sharing these words of wisdom, especially quotes from Bishop Sherman in the early days. He had a great sense of humour and I’m sure we all remember his “Repaint and thin no more” as well as the proud rooster whose son had “entered the ministry “.
You were a blessing to all of us. You lived a good life and we know our Heavenly Father is saying “Well done, my good and faithful one”

It is with heavy hearts to hear Bernie has left us. Our sincere sympathy to his family. After retiring to Rosealta there are great memories of the enteretaining stories ( and never stuck for something humorous ) Bernie had to share often on road trips.
