Our sincere condolences to you Ruby, and Mark and Cathy on Dave's passing. It has been so many years since I worked with you at the auction mart, but I have nothing but fond memories of Dave. I was so new to the whole process, but Dave was always so patient and made me laugh at my own mistakes. I don't know if Cathy remembers, but she made me a flannel quilt for our Neil when he was born. The frayed edges have been sewn, and I have used it to cover our 6 grandchildren! May your many memories comfort you, and know that he touched a lot of lives over the years. Cousin Dave also trucked North into the Yukon in the late 1950's. My memory of Cousin Dave while I 7 or 8 was Awe. He the only relative to visit us in Whitehorse. He did have truck problems and was stuck in Yukon, My Dad, his Uncle Art Ireland, arranged for him to fly back to Edmonton on a RCAF DC3. I dont think Dave ever went North again.

I only had the pleasure of knowing Dave for a few years, but I always looked forward to my visits to see Dave and Ruby to discuss the gravel pit. There was always fresh coffee and goodies, and yes lots of stories! My condolences to Ruby and their family.

Shipping pigs with Dave so we didn't have to try to chase them with dad. When Dave told Dad to stay in the house because it went much smoother with Dave and us two girls chasing them than Dad out there.
