We were very sad to find out that Waldemar had passed away. But he will always be remembered. His laughter, his friendliness, the warmth of his heart - we will always remember everything that made him special. During our many visits to his farm, we have had so many unforgettable moments with him and Marge and the whole family. We had so much fun together that you can only have with very special people in very special places. You will surely remember how difficult it was for me to say goodbye to Canada every time. I can still hear Wally say today what he said every time he picked us up from the Edmonton airport: here they are at last, my German children. Thanks for everything, Dad Wally. I will always remember his smile his grin and I can remember the way he would light up a room and Walter always had a special place in my heart I loved his hugs and he would call me his little penny every time I had seen him it always made me smile. this is so hard for me to write he will be missed by so many family friends loved ones . I will miss you Walter rip .

Wally was a very special man and was one of my dads dearest friends.. he always had the best smiles and was just such a genuine guy. My parents and Wally and Marg could be found camping, dancing, curling and enjoying life. I like to think they are all together in heaven enjoying a dance..
