Our heartfelt condolences to your family. We hope you find comfort in the wonderful memories you have of your mother, Hulda. She was such a sweet lady - so warm and gracious.
It's tough to lose someone that you are close to, and also unfortunate that friends and family are unable to gather together to say goodbye to a loved one.
Your are in our thoughts and prayers,
the Schoenknecht family

Hulda was always so kind and friendly. Whether it was visiting at the Anderson home or at basketball tournaments she was always upbeat and a joy to be around. My heartfelt condolences to Ross, Derry and the rest of the family. Barry Scabar

Sending sincere condolences to the Anderson and Smolarchuk families. We share your grief. I loved my coffee and snack visits with Aunt Hulda. They were filled with questions of course. Aunt Hulda was always so interested in what was happening in our families. Loved sharing stories with her. As everyone knows, it was nearly impossible to get away from Aunt Hulda - whether in person or on the phone. She never wanted to see anyone go. She had such an infectious giggle, that we spent many moments just laughing. Aunt Hulda liked to present herself as quite ‘proper’ but she could certainly loosen up when she wanted to. I remember when she would ‘toot’ when she walked and at first she was quite mortified! But very quickly we would turn it into a big giggle session, sometimes for several minutes. In later years I suspect she did it on person just to get a laugh. Other vivid memories are of the frequent times our dad (Chubby) used to tease her. She would get so indignant at some of the things he would say. One could literally see her gasp at his outrageous comments. But she always went back for more. Sometimes she would pout for a few days but they had a very close, unique relationship that was beautiful to be a part of. We loved our auntie and will truly miss her.

Auntie Hulda had a great smile and a heartfelt laugh. She was a very hard working woman that raised a wonderful family with Uncle Elmer. She will be truly missed by all of us. I will never forget the time Julie and I picked up Auntie for the shower at Dwayne and Jocelyn's and because she was so short, had a very difficult time of getting up into Julie and Mike's truck to go home. Needless to say I had to boost her up on the behind to assist her in getting into the truck seat. There was so much giggling going on, that it proved to be a bit of a challenge. Our visits with her were always full of fun! We definitely called her "One of the Golden Girls" as she and Adelia were quite the pair when together. Our heartfelt thoughts and prayers are extended to your families from our family. Sending our love and big hugs to all of you!
