My sincere sympathies to Neil and Susan Piller and family members on the loss of your Dad. My contacts with him over the years were few and far between but when they did happen it was always a happy experience. I found him to be a humble, kind man with quite a sense of humour and he could play that harmonica of his like a pro. He told me he had a special song he would only play for Aunt Alma called “Silver Bells” (not the Xmas one) so now he will be able to play it for her again. Recently I was lucky enough to visit him in Camrose and I took him my autograph book to show him a verse he had written in it for me way back in 1959. He had signed the verse with his name and “the Man from U.N.C.L.E.” and he recognized that it was his handwriting and smiled.
God bless you Uncle Archie and may you rest in peace.

My heartfelt sympathy. You don’t know me, but my dad lived at Rosealta at the same time as Archie. I’m sorry I never got to know him better, but my forever memory of Archie is when he came to my dads farm on a scheduled Rosealta day trip a few years ago. I surprised the residents with homemade pie and ice cream. When I asked Archie if he wanted apple or saskatoon, he “vibrated” excitedly and said “saaaskaaatooon” please. He enjoyed it so much I sent extra home with him. I can still see his face as if it were yesterday, and it makes me smile. He made quite an impression. May he Rest In Peace and May your memories help heal the sorrow.
Zee Swanek.

My heartfelt condolences to all of Uncle Archie's family on his passing. He was a wonderful gentleman. I didn't have the pleasure of spending much time with Uncle Archie but so enjoyed the times we met up with him, Aunt Alma, and Brad - when their family and ours arrived on the west coast about the same time. One occasion especially dear to me was a time when Uncle Archie told me about Sulky races and that is was people racing in buggies. He and I actually went together to the races one time and that has always been a very special memory for me. And, of course, that he and Aunt Alma came to Dennis' and my "wedding supper" is an especially sweet memory.
With love and prayers,
Norma (Piller) & Dennis Viglienzone
