Grandma Ev, may your beautiful mind, body and soul finally be at peace. May you be welcomed and embraced by loved ones who have passed before you. Thank you for all the beautiful memories you have given me over the years. Looking back there are so many laughs that were had, whether it be forgetting the paper plates for our picnic or being chased by crazy swans when we ran out of bread to feed them. Or the summers when you took my sister and I to the pool and the library. And let’s not forget the those amazing buns you always made! The stories are endless. So although this time is sad for us here on earth know these memories and laughs will be cherished forever. Enjoy this new journey you are on and know just how much you are loved.

Sending hugs to all. We have many memories of cousins being @ Gpa & Gma Jory’s. When I see dinner rolls I think of Aunt Ev who brought buns when she visited you. She always phoned dad (Jim) to thank him for his WW 2 service every Nov. 11. God Speed Aunt Ev, give mom & dad a hugs from us!

My dear Auntie Ev, was my mom's twin sister. Such a wonderful beautiful person. I remember even as a small child going to her farm in Camrose and us picking off the gophers in the fields and playing with Craig, and Connie. My brother Mark and sister Heather and myself had so much fun visiting. Both mom and Auntie Ev would talk together and would have the same laugh, and boy did they enjoy each others company. Auntie Ev had such a wonderful and weird sense of humor calling all of us kids coukiepooks (sp), not sure what it meant but had great meaning to her even later in life. She always had a sense of humor to make all the young ones laugh and giggle, and had the biggest smile herself.
Auntie Ev was full of life and always liked to dance and have fun and party. She would travel and when she had a short stay over in Toronto we would go and meet her at the airport even for a short visit.
Sadness is with us now as she has departed, though knowing she is with Norman, Ron and Connie gives us some comfort that she is with them again.
Heaven is a little brighter now with Auntie Ev there.

My condolences to Evelyn’s family. She was a special acquaintance of mine. We both graduated from Archer Memorial School of Nursing in Lamont. She graduated quite a few years ahead of me but the classes were so small we all knew and respected those that had gone before us. When I moved to Camrose I met her working at St Mary’s Hospital and through Camrose United; then again when she moved into Bethany Meadows when my mother was there. The three of us spent many sunny afternoons sitting on the veranda at Spruce/Pine Cottages. She was a lovely gentle person and I enjoyed her very much.
