So very sad when I heard the news. We met playing ball in 2015. We loved your energy - to watch you fly around the bases, very few ran as fast as you! Our team has added a cheer to you at the end of every game this year. You were a great help to me when I was trying to move from my acreage. I appreciated both your help and your company, I still have all the ingredients for your Singapore Slings! We were both going through rough times, it was nice to have a trusted friend to talk to and help each other where we could. It was a privilege to meet your boys and your parents, I’m very sorry your boys will have to grow up without you.

My heart is broken when I found out I lost a good friend! I met you a few years ago through my work and we developed a very close friendship for a year. Our roads went in different directions and we just started to reconnect. Knowing we will never be in contact again breaks my heart. No words will help ease the pain your family and your two amazing boys have endured from your loss but I would like them to know they are in my thoughts and prayers. Embrace the wonderful memories of Louis! Louis may you be at peace until we meet again! Sending you big hugs up in heaven and know you will be missed! Your friend always, Vicky xoxo

I first knew Louis as a little boy in Henribourg Sask. Usually after a few hours in the shop with Leo and a great meal cooked up by Faye, a wrestling match would ensue with the kids. After a time of play Adèle and René and I would be played out. Louis just wanted to wrestle more.
A few years later I moved to BC and then a few years ago I was in the Ft. Sask area on a business trip and ended up reacquainting with Adele, Rene and Louis at a dinner at the Gaumonts. I had stayed in touch with Leo and Faye but not the kids, so it was great to see them again.
Louis and I reconnected that night and it was a providential appointment of friendship and a place of support for Louis as we walked together through some of his difficult times over the last few years.
My heart is deeply saddened at your departure my friend, but my hope is anchored in seeing you again in heaven with Jesus. Oh and yeah, you better be working out, cause the wrestling will ensue.
Your old buddy....Dave

With heavy hearts, we keep you, Louis, in our thoughts with memories of lasagna nights, with a beverage or two, and your energy-filled drive-by visits. We miss you dearly.

I remember shortly after Louis learned to ride his little bicycle, he was showing how he could ride, he came across the yard as fast as he could go. Speed was much more important than control! Louis crashed right into a big tree, before we could get to him to see if he was hurt, he was up, back on his bicycle, and going full speed again. Louis, you sure will be missed.

Such a deep loss. Sending my thoughts and prayers to the family.
Louis, I hope you are at peace in the arms of The Father.

Louis and his boys spent Christmas dinner one year with my family and it was one of the loudest, most fun we’ve had at a Christmas dinner in a long time. He was a friend of my husband’s, always up for a laugh, always smiling. He will be missed by many. My heart goes out to his family.

My favorite memory of Louis, ( which also told of his fearlessness ) is of when he was around 8, I arrive home and look out the patio door to see him about to sled down our very steep, treacherous hill.
It was only mastered by us kids who lived there, but here Louis was, in all his bravery, heading toward what I thought would be broken bones and a trip to the emergency!
Well, Louis of course was totally fine and had already been going Mach 3 down that hill several times before I saw him! How fearless!
Louis, you are greatly loved.
This is not where it ends. We will see you again when we are with you in the presence of God, our Creator!

I had the privilege of meeting Louis many moons ago through Melody Lovejoy. We have stayed connected over the years, but in the last year we fostered a much closer relationship. He helped guide me through some of my own struggles, and most recently, stepped up in a huge way when it came to helping me clean an acreage I needed to sell. I am heartbroken at the loss of my friend, and would have dropped everything for him. I am grateful such a good man lived and impacted my life. Be at peace my brother.

I want to be the first to share a memory, Louis was a joy as a child, going full tilt and all in. He had an engaging personality and anyone who met him remembered his name. I miss him but I know he was on loan from the Father, whose arms are around him now. See you later son and looking forward to you showing me heaven’s wonders. Mom
