Well Doug, it's been one year now since you went to work for a higher power in heaven. Things are different here without you, but I still have thoughts and memories with which to carry on. Caroline reminisces of the conversations she would have with you downstairs. Just knowing that all your aches and pains you endured throughout your life are no more and you are sitting at the right hand of the Lord makes this ok with me. I was so shocked to hear of Doug's passing. I worked with Doug at the Soap Stop for 3 1/2 years and got to know him very well. I was from Strome and graduated from Daysland in 1973. We had some good talks about the communities of Strome and Heisler. What an incredible, hard working man he was! I know all of you will dearly miss him. May God uphold you as you go through this sad time.

To Joe & Jeanette and family: We were all so very saddened and shocked to hear of Doug's passing. Working alongside of Doug for these more than 24 years, I have many, many great memories of Doug, his individuality and talents, things that made Doug a unique and loving and sincere person.
