Leona Elsie Oberg

(March 2, 1924 - July 25, 2021)

 

Leona Elsie Oberg of Camrose, formerly of Meeting Creek, passed away suddenly Sunday, July 25, 2021 at the age of 97 years.


Left to cherish her memory are her five children Jean (Mel) Larsen, Linda Hoy, Deb Humbke, Ron (Colleen) Oberg, and Don (Angela) Oberg; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and she was also looking so forward to welcoming her twin great-great-granddaughters in August; brother Harry Krause; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.


She was predeceased by her husband of 68 years Maurits; grandson Dan; great-granddaughter Emily; three brothers; four sisters-in-law; and special friend Helen Damburger. 

 

A Funeral Service was held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 4, 2021 from the CityLights Church with Rev. MaryAnn Pastuck officiating. 

 

If family and friends so desire, memorial contributions in Leona's memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, STARS Air Ambulance, or to the Camrose and District Senior Centre Society.
