Dear Shirley and Family, I knew that Grant was ill; however someone's passing still has a sense of shock to it. That's how it felt when dad told me. I was in Vancouver last Thursday and Friday and couldn't make it to the funeral but you guys were never far from my thoughts. He will be greatly missed. Although we are unable to attend the funeral for Grant, please know our hearts are so saddened for you all as you must bid a final farewell. Grant lived his life in such an honorable, gentle way. A good man right to his soul. We are sorry his life had to end in this way and we know you all will hold fast to memories shared with him over the years.
